Workshop on Traveler and Passenger Information - 30 May 2008

The challenge of the daily commute is becoming more serious by the day. This is true for both private and public transport users.

Users of private cars need information about incidents and congestion, about traffic signals not functioning, predicted travel times and which routes to avoid.  This constitutes a clear need for improved traveler information.

Public transport users need information about routes, ticketing, timetables, delays and how and where to connect between different transport modes. The planned BRT systems will multiply the need for passenger information tenfold.

ITS South Africa in cooperation with the ITS Centre of Excellence is proud to host the coming Workshop on Traveler and Passenger Information. More information on the ITS Centre of Excellence can be found on the ITS South Africa website by clicking here.
